Trying to use AMC1 for school projects is simply out of the question. Besides, I can't export in 4k, I can't export an EDL, and it won't let me export in any intermediate codecs. The issue is that I've tried to use the free Avid Media Composer First, but I had numerous technical issues that seemed to be isolated to AMC1 according to my research, which I don't think is even supported by avid anymore. However, realistically I know that learning avid will put me a cut above the rest for most jobs. I've had experience with Avid Media Composer First, and I can confidently say that I prefer premiere 100% more. I know on the sidebar it says not to ask "which software to use", but this is a question about PROFESSIONALLY which should I use, and after taking a look over at r/videoediting, I'm certain they won't give me the PROFESSIONAL answer.Īnyway, the title is pretty self-explanatory: I'm a student who's currently using adobe (which I do love).
